“Walk in the Footsteps of Banting” at the birthplace of Sir Frederick Banting

Join with diabetes researchers, colleagues, community members and students to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the discovery of insulin.

Hosted and developed by the Sir Frederick Banting Legacy Foundation in collaboration with the Banting Research Foundation, the Charles H. Best Foundation, and the Royal Canadian Institute for Science.

Join one of six two-hour live sessions,two each day on Friday, August 20; Saturday, August 21; and Sunday, August 22, 2021.

Each session contains two components:

  1. A series of short, narrated videos with a mix of current and historic content, shown in the historic Octagonal Drive Shed;
  2. A guided tour of the historic Banting family farmhouse, including over 20 exhibits within its walls, with the opportunity to see more exhibits by walking the Banting Legacy Trail.
